A guide to the families

Aroma families are reference directions. Confirm the exact scent, botanical identity and material specification with a sample.

Rose, jasmine and sandalwood names can appear across very different material specifications. Start with the exact material you want to buy, not only a familiar scent name. PanPan Aroma uses these enquiries to establish the intended product identity, documentation and application before discussing a suitable supply route. These selections remain subject to specification and availability review.

Define the material before comparing quotes

Tell us whether you are seeking a particular botanical essential oil, a botanical extract, an absolute, a diluted preparation or a fragrance formulation. These descriptions are not interchangeable. A historic catalogue name or a photograph of a bottle does not establish composition, concentration, extraction method or botanical authenticity.

We do not assign a final material classification to these enquiries until the proposed supply is documented. If you need an undiluted material, put that requirement in the brief and request the relevant evidence. If a dilution is acceptable, identify the carrier, target concentration and intended application.

Review identity, samples and documents together

A useful review connects the supplier specification, botanical identity, extraction or processing description, sample identification and applicable quality documents. Report coverage must correspond to the material and batch being proposed. Discuss any required analytical review with the project team rather than assuming that a familiar name establishes purity.

Evaluate a sample against the agreed specification, including appearance and aroma, and record your approval conditions. The sample needs to represent the proposed supply. Pricing, packaging, minimum quantities and timing are confirmed only after the brief and sourcing options have been reviewed.

Send a focused specialty sourcing enquiry

Include the botanical material name, required form, intended use, destination country, estimated quantity and documentation requirements. Add the extraction method, concentration or carrier specification if these are important to your project. PanPan Aroma will review your request through its sourcing and partner-manufacturing network.
